Summer has certainly flown by fast this year. Here we are in August and fall is just around the corner. What does that mean??? Cooler weather, leaves changing, and most importantly….FOOTBALL!!! Our attention will be on Friday Night Lights, plus Saturday college football and our beloved Cleveland Browns will begin their journey. We here at Squadron 221 want to wish our Massillon Tigers good luck this season in repeating our 2023 state championship and hopefully bringing another state championship in 2026 to Tigertown.
We continue to be blessed with the community support that we receive. Be sure to stop in the tavern and support our squadron and the Legion as a whole. There are plenty of opportunities to support Post 221.
I would also like to welcome new members: George Sponseller III, Jerry Day, John Kurucz, and Brexton Cincinat. Again, welcome to Squadron 221.
Squadron 221 would also like to congratulate dual member and past Legion Commander Larry Stottsberry for being named American Legion Department of Ohio Legionnaire of the year. Quite an honor for Larry and Post 221!
I would also like to encourage all S.A.L. Squadron 221 members to come out to our monthly meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm.S.A.L. NEWS
